Osteoarthritis therapy with stem cells

Osteoarthritis therapy with stem cells to support the body’s own healing process

Regeneration for your joints

Stem cell therapy opens up new avenues in the treatment of osteoarthritis — natural, effective and minimally invasive.

Osteoarthritis affects millions of people and can significantly reduce their quality of life. ACP-SVF therapy (Adipose Cell-derived Perivascular Stromal Vascular Fraction) is a modern, gentle treatment method for alleviating osteoarthritis symptoms. It uses the body’s own fat cells, from which mesenchymal stem cells are obtained. These stem cells have anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, which can effectively reduce chronic irritation in the affected joints.

The therapy is minimally invasive, well tolerated and offers a promising alternative to conventional medical or surgical procedures. The aim of the treatment is to improve quality of life, alleviate pain and promote joint function in the long term.

These joints can be treated

Stem cell therapy for osteoarthritis can treat almost all joints in the human body, including:

This is how the treatment works

The body’s own stem cells are removed from the patient’s abdominal fat under sedation and pain relief, but usually under local anaesthetic, and specially prepared. The stem cells are separated from the fat by centrifugation. What remains are particularly adaptable stem cells, which are injected directly into the affected joint. There they can help to renew the cartilage and sustainably regenerate the tissue.

Blood plasma is also used to specifically promote cell growth. The entire procedure only takes around 90 minutes.

After treatment

The joint can be loaded again immediately after the procedure. This is even recommended, as movement supports the reconstruction of the cartilage. It is often helpful to promote regeneration through accompanying physiotherapy. It is also important to move more after the treatment in order to have a positive effect on joint wear and tear.

The full effect of stem cell treatment usually becomes apparent within 3 to 6 months, as the body needs time to allow the cartilage and tissue to regenerate. Some patients notice significant pain relief and improved mobility after the treatment.

The advantages of ACP-SVF therapy

The treatment takes place on an outpatient basis in our practice and is individually tailored to you. Let our doctors advise you and find out more about ACP-SVF therapy.
