Preventing
Injuries

First and foremost, sports medicine serves to prevent illness by providing accompanying care for athletes to help them plan and periodize their training and regeneration and reach their full potential. In our diagnostics, we take deep stability and deep mobility into account, as well as recognizing possible incorrect postures that could lead to injuries in the future. Based on our many years of successful collaboration with Adidas and EXOS, we have put together training plans that we pass on to our patients for preventive use. This results in medically ambitious planning that minimizes the risk of injury.

Acute Injuries

An acute injury occurs suddenly, without warning. The most common acute injuries include bruises, sprains, dislocations and broken bones, as well as injuries to muscles, tendons and ligaments. Through our years of work in rescue centers, the first point of contact for acute care, and the care of our athletes in competition situations from the sidelines, we have gained the necessary expertise to be able to treat acute injuries immediately.

Sports Related Overuse

These are chronic sports injuries caused by overuse of the joints, ligaments and muscles, also known as overuse injuries. They are caused by excessive training and overexertion and are one of the most common causes of sports injuries. These include, for example, runner’s knee (IT band syndrome), Gird’s syndrome (thrower’s shoulder), jumper’s knee (patellar tendinitis), golfer’s elbow or heel spur/plantar fasciitis.
